to the Youth Club for all their efforts in collecting used crisp packets.  They have contributed to an invaluable and ingenious scheme which converts the crisp packets into blankets for the homeless.  The children's efforts were rewarded recently with this certificate which is now proudly on display in the Youth Club.

Congratulations to everyone involved.

Update 20 July 2022

Fovant Youth Club is now increasing the number of events following recent refurbishments.

In addition to the regular Wednesday baby/toddler and Junior sessions, we decided to go all out with a Grand Re-opening on the 2nd July.

This was well attended and we had activities both inside and out.  With the help of a raffle with many donated prizes, we raised a magnificent £937.36 to go towards re-starting our Friday evening seniors (11-16 yrs) sessions. We, the trustees, would like to thank all those who donated raffle and tombola prizes and of course all you lovely villagers who attended and made the afternoon such a success.

Following the opening afternoon we had a BBQ for the 11-16s, on the 15th July 2022 so that we could find out from them what they would like to see when the sessions begin.  The BBQ was attended by 22 young people who made great use of the facilities playing table tennis, pool and even Jenga! They ate and gave great feedback which we will be acting on.

To finalise the September sessions, the trustees are meeting on 2nd August and one of the key items is to devise the rota to cover the Friday evenings. We will need some support to supervise sessions so if you can give up just two hours (6-8pm) for one Friday every six weeks, please get in touch so that we can discuss further. Without some support, we will have to consider limited opening which would be a great shame given the support for the fundraising and the attendance we had from interested young people at the BBQ.

As a reminder our sessions are open to anyone in Fovant and surrounding villages, so the more people who support us and come to the sessions the more we can do for this part of Wiltshire.
